YOU LOVE Squarespace
Around here we use Squarespace as our primary sitebuilder, so needless to say, it's important that you are well-versed with everything Squarespace - including the newest templates, updates, and features.
You would describe your design portfolio as simple, clean, and creative.
Overall we strive to keep designs simple, and we aim to build sites that are very clean and user-friendly, yet beautiful and unique to each client.
If using a color palette that resembles the entire rainbow, or using five different fonts throughout a site sounds up your alley, this might not be the right fit.
YOU'RE passionate about what you do
We're looking for someone that truly enjoys design work and is eager to connect and collaborate with a team.
YOU LIKE TO COMMUNICATE AND FIND SOLUTIONS
Our team is respectful and supportive, but also very open, and we believe that constructive design critiques can make all the difference in making a good design great! So bouncing ideas around and discussing ways to improve a design comes with the territory.
If receiving open feedback on a design is hard for you, than this probably isn't your gig.
Deadlines don't scare you
To take the best care of our clients, we've found that rigid timelines and schedules are essential. Which, of course, also means that as a designer you will have specific project deliverable dates.
If you prefer to design within an open-ended time table, this might not be the right fit.
You know how to stay organized
We keep every project extremely organized. From file names, to Dropbox folders, to checking things off on our Asana to do list.
Other Important info that you should know before applying...
SALARY and Schedule
This is a virtual part-time "as needed" position that we currently estimate starting at about 6+ hours/week and growing into a full part-time position. Daily hours are flexible, but set/consistent.
Estimated hourly rate is determined by experience. And will be negotiated in the last round of the application process. For reference hourly rates typically range from at $25 - $50/hr.
