Senior Designer

You’re a passionate, driven, multifaceted designer who’s committed to using your gifts to make the world a better place. You’re psyched to help us design and execute world-class digital products and purpose-driven campaigns that’ll inspire hundreds of thousands of people to take meaningful action in their lives.

Our standard is visually stunning work that converts, so you’ve got to be willing to challenge yourself consistently to raise the bar — for yourself and our team. You love personal development, business growth, and modern marketing.

You understand that great design combines jaw-dropping visuals and an intuitive and innovative user experience, without forgetting the business goal of converting browsers into buyers and new friends into lifelong, raving fans.

You thrive on making designs that are conceptually strong, surprising, cool and use great typography. You have a solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces and even have a little bit of experience with photo retouching. You can also create custom keynotes, PDFs, ads, infographics, and illustrations.

As a part of our tiny but mighty team, you’ll wear a lot of hats and have the opportunity to collaborate, grow and shape our company — the only limit is your drive, commitment and imagination.

This position might be the perfect fit if this describes you SO well, it’s almost scary:

  • You’re an effective, clear communicator

  • You have a high-end taste level

  • You’re practically always on time (or early) and strive to deliver ahead of deadlines

  • You’re able to juggle multiple projects and communicate honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions

  • You have a solid understanding of responsive design and how to apply it across multiple devices

  • You take care of your team, constantly working to make sure people have what they need before they have to ask

  • You’re obsessive about being the best at what you do

  • You’re hyper-focused on getting the details right — you don’t do sloppy work or let little things slip through the cracks

  • You go above and beyond regularly — not for credit, but because that’s how you roll

  • You want to learn and grow — forever more!

  • You love personal development and are always on the lookout for ways to become your best

  • You care deeply about your work andthe wellbeing of the company

  • When a crazy-big project happens, you work till the job gets done

  • You do whatever it takes. The phrase “That’s not my job” is not a part of your vocabulary

  • You’re pumped to make things stunning, simple and effective for the end user — from PDFs to full website builds

  • No job is too little or too daunting, you’re in for it all

  • You pour your soul into your work and you want people to get all the feels when they see your designs

  • You’re not thin-skinned or (overly) attached to your ego — you’re focused on finding, developing and executing on the best ideas to get the best results

  • You’re 10,000% comfortable working in a virtual environment

  • You do great work autonomously and as part of a highly collaborative team (you’ll need to do both here!)

  • You’re a born GO GETTER — always looking for ways to add value, do better work, improve efficiencies, build others up and make the world a better place

The Nitty Gritty:

  • This is a part-time position that we currently estimate starting at about 10+ hours/week and growing into a 20 hours/week part-time commitment. Daily hours are flexible, but set/consistent.

  • This is a virtual position working with our virtual team

  • Your location isn’t as important as your attitude and talent, but it’s required that you live and work in the continental United States

  • You must have a strong design background with 3-5 years experience (a plus if some of that time has been spent in a startup environment or an entrepreneurial experience)

  • Hourly rate is determined by experience, and negotiated during interview process.

  • You must have innate leadership skills with the confidence and ability to communicate your ideas clearly

  • We’re committed to creating an inclusive employee experience for all. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or if you’re parenting the next generation of change-makers, we firmly believe that our work is at its best when everyone feels free to be their most authentic self

This position is NOT for you if:

  • You have personal drama

  • You want a side job so you can “start your own thing”

  • You don’t really commit wholeheartedly to anything

  • You don’t like marketing, sales or being the best

  • You think self-help is weird

  • You have no sense of humor
