Project FAQ's
How do I share content?
We’ve found the most efficient way for you to share all of your content (written text and images) with us is via Dropbox. To make this as easy as possible for you we will create and sharing a pre-made dropbox folder made just for you.
Not familiar with dropbox? You can read more and sign up for a free account HERE.
PLEASE NOTE: It's important that all of your content is organized correctly in dropbox. The individual pages we have listed in your "sitemap" folder are taken directly from your official website estimate, IF you need to add more pages to your site please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the necessary revisions to both your estimate and dropbox.
How is my dropbox folder organized?
Here's a simple outline of the individual folders that will be included in your dropbox folder as well as brief notes on where to add specific content. (Please remember that the individual pages we have listed in your "sitemap" folder are taken directly from your official website estimate, IF you need to add more pages to your site please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the necessary revisions to both your estimate and/or dropbox.)
MAIN FOLDER = Business Name
3 SECONDARY FOLDERS
Logo & Other Brand Elements -- Where you will drop in any logos and/or brand elements to be used on the site.
Extra Info -- Any images, Inspiration, and/or Other Notes for your designer at Outlaw Creative, etc.
Sitemap -- This is an outline of your site's main navigation, AND where you will add all content(including any links) and images to each individual page on your site. If you have any pages that will be "hidden" on the site - you will see (hidden) next to the title.
If you have any other questions, please contact us.
Are there specific sizes/files that you need for photos and logos?
LOGO
The most important thing on images is that they are not too large (this makes not only uploading images to your site but on-screen loading time really slow) or of course too small. Logo's need to be sent in .jpg and .png files - WITH a transparent background. If you have multiple logo options, please let us know which one you would like to use.
IMAGES
We require .jpg or .png file types for images. We recommend images to be approximately 2000 - 2500 pixel width for full browser width images, and about 800-1500 pixel width for galleries. Please note, the size of your images can affect the overall load time of your site. Images over 3MB will need to be resized by you to appropriate web sizes. (Please let us know if you have more questions on this).
What if I Don't know what specific images to use on the site?
Absolutely! We're here to guide you through the process of creating a site that's not only beautiful to look at but extremely user-friendly. Your designer will provide guidance on overall use of content including imagery and text to fit each individual page layout.
In the first revision call your designer will walk you through overall site design, explain certain layout options, suggested modifications and/or additions, and address any and all pain points.
Will a word doc work for site copy?
You bet! We prefer it! Remember to upload copy into each individual dropbox page folder (with in the main "Sitemap" folder). Please Note: Text always needs to be sent in am editable word document.
What are “Page by Page Revisions”?
In the first and second full revisions, your Outlaw designer will walk you through every page on your website to review/revise as necessary. Your first set of revisions will serve as a first peek at your new website! Your page by page revision dates are extremely important as your designer will discuss overall site design, review layout recommendations and options, and touch on any other elements, additions, template limitations, and/or pain points in the design.
The client is then able to review the site and give any further feedback and/or add items for revision no later than 24 hours after our call. It is imperative that we receive any additional revision no later than 24 hours after our call. If your allotted project time is exceeded due to delayed revision feedback, an hourly rate will be applied and the projected launch date will be postponed.
How will I review the site?
You will find each of your revisions dates on your project timeline. It's important that you have access to a computer and wifi as your your designer will walk through revisions with you online.
Please Note: It is extremely important to set time aside for these revision calls (see above).
What is the “Projected Launch Date”?
We use the term “projected” because there are often unforeseen circumstances that arise. Although our goal is to meet every deadline on the button, we understand that sometimes things happen and we must adjust for life’s circumstances.
